Rare ½ ton panel side truck! It was fully refinished and customized into a beautiful turnkey reliable street rod. Loaded with creature comforts like fuel injection, air conditioning, overdrive trans, custom leather interior, and electric door poppers; it's designed to be an easy all day cruiser. This bespoke classic is accompanied by 2 huge folders full of receipts and literature to document the build. Get in, turn the key, and turn some heads!
EXTERIOR: It was stripped and sand blasted down to bare metal. The paint was applied with great attention to detail and pinstriped by hand. Many custom body mods were executed including the rear steel fenders widened 3 inches, doors were converted to suicide style opening from the front with deadbolt style locks, custom gas filler, the handles were shaved on all 3 doors, the doors hinges were hidden, and the license plate was recessed. The rear door latch is neatly tucked away under the rear bumper. The front fenders are fiberglass and fit very well. The hood side panels are included and clad in body colored purple paint and Chevrolet emblems. The panel body was also channeled 6 inches giving it a much improved aesthetic. All new glass and weatherstrips, H4 headlights with built in turn signals, and LED taillights have this rarity looking proper. The running boards are smooth and have really cool vintage style step plates. It is rolling on staggered Coy's wheels: they are 17s in front, 18s in back, and they are wrapped in performance tires.
INTERIOR: Glove soft genuine leather seats! They are Wise Guys brands with nice and comfortable support, 3 point shoulder belts built in, and they recline as well. Everything has been lined with sound deadener throughout. The center console with integrated armrest, storage compartment, cup holders, and power window controls are all much appreciated upgrades. An Ididit tilt column with a leather wrapped banjo style steering wheel and a push button start also add to the appeal. It has an easy to read set of Haneline custom gauges, climate control by Vintage Air, and a backup camera. The dash area is also painted Deep Plum Pearl just like the exterior with vents added for the a/c. And you can't forget the single windshield wiper with electronic control right in front of the driver. The headliner was replaced as well as the door panels that have armrests, manual releases, and dead bolt style latches for added safety.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Only 2,000 miles! The split hood opens to the center by simply removing one bolt. It also comes with body colored side panels that can easily be put on at any time. The 350 long block was recently replaced and spins like a top. It has Tuned Port Injection (TPI) fuel injection on top that is polished as well as the a/c compressor, alternator, clutch fan, and valve covers too. Spark plug wire holders and compact coated block hugger headers flank the sides. It has March pulleys and brackets up front that nicely clean up the bay. Power steering makes maneuvering a piece of cake. Everything runs cool with the help of a Griffin aluminum radiator. A polished stainless firewall adds a refined show car appearance. All the belts, hoses, and wires were replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The rear door opens with a lever that is concealed under the bumper. The back of the doors and jamb are painted slick just like the body. The weatherstrip was replaced. Inside is totally revamped, boxed and carpeted with a custom flame design adorning the walls. The headliner is nice and tight with a rear dome light for convenience. There are 2 custom speaker enclosures over the wheel wells with built in 5.5” round speakers.
UNDERSIDE: Nicely upgraded! It now has a Heidts independent front suspension with QA1 coilover adjustable gas shocks, plus rack & pinion. Out back are fresh looking leaf springs and adjustable air shocks. A complete custom fuel system with external pump and a stainless tank does its job well. The dual exhaust was replaced and has Flowmaster mufflers. Upgraded with drilled and sloted disc brakes at all four wheels the power brake booster and master are located under the car. Looking up at the engine it is clean, has a high torque starter and chrome flywheel cover. It's using a 700R4 overdrive automatic trans with an aluminum pan that will keep you cruising all day. The purple drive shaft leads back to a Ford 9-inch rear end with fresh paint. It also has a complete new floor pan made from 16 gauge galvanized steel. Everything is neatly painted black and looks great.
