Here is all of the wildlife that visited a small creek just inside of Voyageurs National Park over the course of a few weeks in May. We set up these cameras in early May in an attempt to film the Half-Moon Pack catching fish (they were catching fish for a bit before we put up our cameras).
Unfortunately, the fish stopped spawning—meaning they stopped swimming up the creek—shortly after we set up the cameras so we did not get footage. A real bummer but ain’t that the way it goes sometimes…
On the positive side, we got footage of several animals on these cameras including: a bear, wolf, fisher, marten, owl, porcupine, etc. In fact, we almost got every member of the weasel family that lives in northern Minnesota on this camera. Spring is just one of the best times in northern Minnesota!
