An unusual encounter with an inquisitive Dark Eyed Junco on a trail in the remote forests of the Great Smoky Mountains and some interesting calls from birds that can't be seen - which is typical of the summer forest environment - hear but not see. Listen for the fascinating calls of what I think are baby crows or perhaps baby raptors in the nest and how they carry through the mountain forest.
