    I have two dogs and two cats, all get along just wonderful.

    Our dog and cat won't interact at all, unless one of them gets too close to the other one... then they say, "back off!" They don't get along very well, but most of the time they tolerate each other. They have never been "buddies." I enjoy seeing dogs and cats that DO get along nicely... and sometimes playfully.
