Video Description:

I colorized, restored, and created a sound design for this rare footage showing Washington, D.C. in the 1940s during wartime. The film includes vibrant street scenes with pedestrians, downtown traffic, vintage cars, and everyday life in the city, followed by a long and peaceful ride through one of Washington’s parks.

Video Restoration Process:
FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
Image resolution boosted up to HD
Improved video sharpness and brightness
Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate)
sound design added only for the ambiance
restoration:(stabilisation,denoise,cleand,deblur)

Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data.

Dept of war . . . and that is back again. Let's get in, do what we need to do, and get the hell out. That's what it was back then, and it needs to be that again. These decades-long wars are pointless. The cars, oh shazam. Thanks for the trip back in time. We were so much better back then. We were "America". Today, WDC is so incredibly corrupt, it is stunning. They need to bulldoze K Street for starters. We need a third party if we ever hope to clean it up.
