Premiering “Those Were The Days”, a brand new Redeemed Quartet original, title song for the 2023 album by the same name.
In the summer of 2014, God called 4 country boys out of the Southern Indiana hills with a message for the world to hear. From that time He has burdened us with the desire to bridge the gap between generations; for the older generation has much to teach us, and we’d do well to take heed!
“Thus saith the Lord, ‘Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls’. But they said, ‘We will not walk therein’.”
Jeremiah 6:16

LYRICS:
As a child I roamed the hills and valleys
Played beneath the mighty oak trees
The countryside was my little playground
These are my fond memories
Then at evening when work was completed
The family would gather round to pray
Dad read the Bible after dinner
We learned to trust and obey
And we thank the Lord
For what our parents taught us
Showing right and wrong
In many ways
And though we're older
We have not forgotten
I think we all agree
Those were the days
As a youngster I found the enjoyment
Of working hard with heart and hand
By the sweat of my brow
I learned the lessons
This modern age won't understand
There are children today with no fathers
People look for love that won't last
They don't know what a Friend we have in Jesus
Faith is a thing of the past
And we wonder what this generation's brought us
Twisting right and wrong in many ways
The lessons of the past have been forgotten
I think we all agree those were the days
And we thank the Lord
For what our parents taught us
Showing right and wrong
In many ways
And though we're older
We have not forgotten
I think we all agree
Those were the days
I think we all agree
Those were the days

( HOW ARE YOU FEELIN ?? )
STAY SAFE ! C. G.
I think it was great!! I would like to know if I could buy some of their cd's?
I wish these singers could be heard again and again for the values that they sing and express in their lives. Real joy in these scenes in middle America. God bless each of you fine men.
The guy with the deep voice is so good! The lyrics are so true. The harmony is over-the-top!!
Really nice voices. Whoever wrote those lyrics knows exactly what we, as a people and as a country, are missing today, and many folks are a mess. Jesus is the way . . .
Great music. My husband has written several great Christian message songs. We'd like to have you consider. He is a great song writer. Contact us . Mel knows how to reach me.
Thanks
God Bless
Loved it. Brought back good memories.
Great one Mel.
The good old days had a lot of good hymns, folks went to Church, and were dedicated to God's teaching. We had it good because of God in our lives. We had no one saying there is no God. Folks had respect back then - for themselves and everyone else. These folks are wonderful.
ONE OF YOUR BEST! I LOVE SEEING OUR GUYS TELLING IT LIKE IT IS! GOD BLESS THEM.
This was great, I loved those times with mom and dad . Thank you so much Mel.
I love their music!! Do they have cd's I can buy?? Sonja.
Beautiful song by the Redeemed Quartet! Ah yes, those were the days.
I loved It.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Things weren't perfect, but humans were a bit nicer to each other. Lots of stresses today.
They were not the good old days for many people, people of color, women, the poor, did not fare well, not that these days are much better, but I certainly can't glorify those days.
For sure, those certainly were the days. Nice to see clean cut young men remembering those beautiful days.
I really enjoyed this beautiful video
It's sooo refreshing to see handsome, clean cut young men
HAPPY NEW BEGINNINGS for 2023, dear Mel.
I wish good health and many smiles to you and yours...
