Video Description:

Recently, Amber with Australia's Starlight Sanctuary rehabbed some remarkable creatures. She describes tawny frogmouths as being amazingly quirky, always adorable and incredibly amazing. Despite their appearances, these birds are not owls and are actually more closely related to the nightjars. They are a master of disguise, camouflaging themselves as a tree branch during the day. Many of the young ones are rescued after being found on the ground with no sign of parents and in danger.

On the menu are some dehydrated crickets and worms that have been soaked to soften before feeding to these little fluffballs. Amber points out, it's important to make sure they have a well rounded diet receiving all the nutrients that they would get if still with their parents, regardless of how yucky we may find it.

Amber has dedicated herself to caring for all kinds of animals. She says, fostering saves lives, no matter what the species. And when it's time for such creatures to be released back into the wild, Amber finds it happy and heartwarming but also a little sad as she sees them leave.
