It upsets me when some people say they are just a dumb animal. Dogs (and cats) are extremely intelligent and can also detect cancer. I have never been without a dog, in all my 82 years. Thank you, Mel.

Dogs are very intuitive to smell. Their sense of smell is far beyond ours which makes them so good at detecting a variety of things.

The thing I don't like about dogs is that they don't live long enough. We have them in our family for a very short time, comparatively speaking, so we should treat them with the love and respect they need, and deserve.
