Ever wondered how animals actually see the world around them? In this unique data comparison video, we explore the visual world of 100 different animal species — from insects and birds to mammals and marine creatures. Each image represents how an animal perceives color, ultraviolet sensitivity, and brightness based on scientific understanding.
Please note: the images focus only on color and light perception, not on field of view, motion detection, or peripheral range, which vary widely between species.
Disclaimer:
This video is based on available scientific research and visual approximations. While the color and UV vision shown are grounded in biology, some visuals are artistically recreated for better understanding. The purpose is to educate and entertain — not to provide perfectly accurate simulations of animal vision.

That was so cool! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful! The research must have been fun. Time-consuming, yes, but fun nonetheless.
Thanks Mel.
fascinating¡¡
Fascinating video. Thanks so much for posting it.
Interesting. I wonder how accurate it truly is. They say it's scientific but how do they really know. It's sort of like carbon dating. How accurate is that, really. I hold some skepticism on this stuff. I do appreciate the effort that went into this. It presents as their "best guess".
This was great = very educational but I had to stop it a few times to read it all = I'm not a speed reader on a laptop
Absolutely jaw dropping! I raise caterpillars and release them as butterflies. How amazing their world is once they emerge and gain the ability to fly. Now I know how they see this beautiful world! This was totally awesome! Great info! I enjoyed every single animal listed!! I agree. How do they figure all of this out?
Very interesting!
Very interesting, and like Paul, how the heck did they figure all this out!!
Very interesting and educational. It would also be interesting to know how all of this was done.
I never knew the bat sees poorly but I knew they rely on sense of smell. What we see through the eyes of animals. I saved the other video Mel that you sent of longevity of animal world. Amazing videos Mel, and very educational. Thank you so much. Have a Great Weekend.
I'm with Paul, how did they figure this out?
Fascinating for sure.
Extremely interesting Me. Thank you.
I wonder how this got figured out ?
Very interesting.
This is really cool!
