Jacobs Ridge Animal Sanctuary

The horses excitedly running and grazing back in Spring, relieved to say goodbye to winter.
Spring is their favourite time of the year. We can’t wait until the sanctuary is that green again ????

All of the horses at Jacobs Ridge are rescues and seeing them so happy and healthy, after they came to us emaciated and broken, is incredibly emotional.
Some of them are still learning to trust again and so we give them the time and space that they need in order to heal.

Due to what they have been through, we allow them to be as free and natural as is possible and practical.
It took a lot of time and care to get them to this condition and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community.
