I love a good barn find, and the mysteries, and the stories surrounding them.
Loved it
sad, very very sad.
Not something I would do to a Corvette but to each his own , this world would be mighty boring if everyone thought the same !
Are some of you guys kidding!!!?? The guy followed a dream to make something special out of a very common car back in the day and wound up with something individualized and beautiful in his eyes. Really people let people have their own fun and stop the negativity. Remember he might think some of the same thoughts about your iron!!
Wow! What a barn find! I have always loved Corvettes and have owned two of them. A 1962 and a 1973. A friend of mine, Don Wimmer, has more old Corvettes and T-Birds than you can shake a stick at. And they're all in beautiful shape.
@ Larry's "He really did make it a piece of junk." Over half the kid's I grew up with turned there Godless lives into junk & early death, because it was Cool & felt good, at the time, I.E. sex. drugs hot rods' & ugly faded tattoos etc.
Great story of history, but how did it end?? Please tell!!
The one comment I agreed with was why would you do that to that to the 1957 Corvette. Regardless of what he got for it the value of the orginal would be so much more. He really did make it a piece of junk.
Great story but did it sell, what did he get for it and is it restored?
