    Today I learned (confirmed) . . . thanks Mel.

I had a dog named Mr. Miller. Gentle, easy-going dog for the most part. He was scared during storms. I had him out for our evening walk and someone came around a fence on a private street and Mr. Miller went absolutely crazy on that guy. He didn't bite him, but the guy jumped back and looked at me & the dog. All I said was "there is something wrong with you buddy keep moving". Mr. Miller never did that again, so I am positive dogs know exactly who people are and what their intentions are. Pay attention to your dog's body language. It will help to keep you safe.

Very good information. I love dogs and dogs do seem to know it. People should be as loving and trusting as dogs.

Dogs have always been friendly toward me. I figured it was because they could sense that I likd them. this taught me a lot more. Thanks Mel.

My grandmother that was born in the late 1890's always said that if a dog likes you, you are a good person. I still think that's true and I'm 85 now.

While serving in my capacity as an NCO in Kandahar, Afghanistan, I was addressing a large group of American soldiers who were to watch over local nationals on base. As I was addressing them, a large, stray Afghan dog approached and leaned up against me. He followed me around for several weeks and when my replacement took over that morning duty of mine, I woke to find that dog patiently waiting for me outside my tent. He had never been to my tent before!

Info is spot on..... same applies to horses to lessor degree.
