    This was a wonderful video! Once, when I lived in the country, a wild mallard came up the hill from our lake and approached me at my barn. He had one of those horrible plastic six-pack holders around his head and in his beak. I caught him with a net and cut the plastic off.

    I love these rescue stories! Sadly, they don't always turn out well. A friend of mine, Billy Wofford, who I knew since he was a little boy, grew up and moved to Florida. One day while at the beach, his dog got caught in a rip tide. Billy left his wife on the beach and went to rescue his dog, which he did, but Billy got caught in the rip tide and drowned. My heart breaks every time I think about it.

    I am a cat foster for a local rescue group (Prescott, AZ) and I have found cats and kittens in many unsafe, unhealthy environments. I have been bitten and scratched, but never by the cats I was trying to rescue. Somehow, like the animals in the wonderful video, the cats know the difference between being rescued and any other activity.

    Wonderful to watch. all of these animals learn trust.... thank God for that. One day my pastor and I rescued a Cedar Wax Wing bird, who was flying with her partner and was hit by a car. He partner died, but we were able to get this beautiful bird to a Rescue Shelter for birds here in RI.
