Video Description:
The Charleston is a lively, high-energy dance that became extremely popular during the 1920s. It is characterized by its upbeat tempo and distinctive steps, which include a combination of swaying arms and fast-moving feet. The dance typically involves a pattern of stepping forward and backward, with the knees bending in and out, creating a swinging motion. The arms often move in opposition to the legs, adding to the dynamic and exuberant style of the dance. The Charleston embodies the spirit of the Roaring Twenties and is often associated with flapper culture, jazz music, and the uninhibited atmosphere of that era.
