1,000 Deaf People Hear For The First Time #Video

This video brought tears to my eyes. I'm partially deaf so I can relate to what these people have undergone in their lives.

Inspiring but need more information about the hearing aid. Many of us can't hear and need assistance.

I was so excited to see this video! I have trouble hearing and was looking forward to buying my own, but they don't mention the brand.

Would like more info about this. Went to a hearing office who wanted over $700.00 just for the aid. They also talked about other items I'll need for a lot more money. Then they talked about all the negative reasons why the lower priced aids don't work or have any guarantees. (Like they got ya to buy the over priced one. ) Had to walk out and never will go back!

Where can someone get this hearing aid?

what a wonderful video showing how grateful the people are to be able to hear (and to receive such a bountiful amount of cash also). it's a feel good video, we need more like this.

That video left too many questions: what kind of hearing loss benefits from this kind of technology? Where is all that money coming from? Who is sponsoring this program? Who is that guy?

HEY MEL, where can I find this man and this hearing aid. I have post polio syndrome and it's a progressive loss...90% of my hearing is now gone...Do you know how I could get help? That would be wonderful to hear people again and sounds and all of the things that I no longer am hearing. Please let me know asap...You could really do a world of good and it would be soooo appreciated. I live in the mountains of N.C. and I have email for you to contact should you need it. Astounding and absolutely wonderful. I didn't understand who or what organization is giving them money. I am not a computer nerd so can't navigate all that is here. This from an almost 94 yr old.

My son is totally deaf and has never heard a sound. He has his masters degree and teaches high school asl and junior college asl classes.. He teaches at Trevor Brown high school and Phoenix Colledge in Phoenix,AZ. He has several awards for his teaching abilities. By the way he has never spoke either. We are very proud of him. All his students love him and fight to get into his classes. He is super as far as we are concerned.

That's downright wonderful and raises a question in my mind...I've not heard in my left ear since about the age of 5 when I contracted a double case of the mumps. I've been told it's nerve deafness but, would this technology allow me to hear again?

What a wonderful, wonderful thing this man did--I just sat here and cried for them I was so happy. We all take so very much for granted and hearing is one of them. What a wonderful gift to be able to hear your child for the first time, or parent or birds, dogs, the wind, God!! Bless this man in what he's done!!!
