People get things wrong and plans change. Over time, many of the things that once felt so important begin to matter less, leaving more room for what really does.

It can also change the way we see the people around us. Love becomes less about expecting everything to be easy, and more about accepting one another as we are. People don’t need to be faultless to be deeply loved.

Maybe a good life is one where we become a little softer with each other. Where we say what matters while we still can, and don’t waste too much time on the small stuff. Life may be messy and unfinished, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Perhaps that is part of what makes it ours.

Featuring Doreen Gail Hemp.
Filmed in Pringle Bay, South Africa.
---

Not out loud. Not properly. But then comes Christmas and something in us wants to try. This is the story of a dad and his son, and the gift that helps them find their way back to one another. Because, sometimes, a gift can say the things we can't.

Where Love Lives
Pressed on a classic black 12” vinyl, Alison Limerick’s ‘90s dance anthem ‘Where Love Lives’ is available exclusively at John Lewis. Featuring brand new club-inspired artwork. Side A of the vinyl treats music fans to Alison’s early ‘90s original version of the track, still pounding with cultural resonance and a longtime favourite of DJs worldwide. Side B presents globally acclaimed UK artist and producer Labrinth's reimagination of ‘Where Love Lives,’ a genuinely unguarded take on the iconic hit - both featuring in this year's ad.

John Lewis profits from each ‘Where Love Lives’ record sold will be donated to the Building Happier Futures fund, part of the John Lewis Partnership Foundation (Registered charity number: 1118162).

Recently performed live at both the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium, this moving duet marks a milestone moment in King’s career.

Supported by an all-star band—Zeb Snyder (guitar), Scott Vestal (banjo), Aaron Ramsey (mandolin), Jeff Partin (bass & dobro), and Jim VanCleve (fiddle)—the song blends heartfelt gospel harmonies with the authentic soul of bluegrass.

There are moments in life when we realise that holding on too tightly to the past keeps us from stepping fully into the present. The people and places that shaped us remain part of us, but at some point, we have to start creating our own stories, ones that bring meaning and joy to the lives we’re living now.

Life has a way of softening when we slow down enough to notice it — the rhythm of everyday things, the quiet beauty in what’s real and unpolished, the comfort of simplicity. Often, it’s in those ordinary moments that we find the deepest sense of peace.

May this be a gentle reminder to pause every now and then. To breathe, to look around, and to feel the quiet satisfaction of being right where you are — no longer reaching back, not rushing ahead, simply here.

What do we really want from life? In this film, Christoff invites us into his reflections on happiness, adventure, and the practice of being truly present. He reminds us that the unknown doesn’t need to be something to avoid or fear, but can instead be a doorway into wonder, curiosity, and a deeper sense of connection with the world around us.

This story is also a gentle reminder that life isn’t only about reaching a destination, but about showing up for the journey itself — noticing the small things, embracing the detours, and finding joy in the moments along the way.

Six years ago, Christoff stepped away from his corporate job to follow a different path. Since then, he’s been creating content for his YouTube channel ‪@GetOutGO‬
an African overlanding and off-grid camping show that celebrates wild places, open skies, and the freedom of heading out into the unknown.

Featuring Christoff and Venessa.
Filmed in Karoo National Park, South Africa.
---
